This last weekend was an exciting one at the Disneyland Resort. There was a lot of rain. The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort began with all the merriment that accompanies this special time of year. On top of that, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln was presented in the Opera House over the weekend. This is a rarity for the Opera House this year. As a part of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration, the new show Walt Disney – A Magical Life has been presented around the clock.

On Sunday, the Daps Magic team stopped by the Opera House to check out the newest iteration of Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln. The new show is very similar to the previous version of the attraction. However, the set has been redesigned to accommodate the two shows now offered on the Opera House stage. Below is a look at the Abe Lincoln Audio-Animatronic portion of the show.

Shows in the Opera House

Eventually, Great Moments with Mr. Lincoln will be played in rotation with Walt Disney – A Magical Life. Currently, Walt Disney can be seen throughout the day on the Opera House stage as the 70th celebration continues. This is accompanied by exhibits in the lobby and exit of the Opera House. Here is a look at Walt Disney in Audio-Animatronic form in the show that will eventually alternate with Abe Lincoln’s:

Walt Returns

As of Monday morning, Walt Disney – A Magical Life had resumed performances at the Opera House. Abraham Lincoln currently only appears on very rare occasions. The sign on the front of the Opera House and the Disneyland app both will indicate what show is being offered at any given time.
