The Holidays at the Disneyland Resort are officially underway. There are plenty of things to do and experience at the Disneyland Resort during this merry season. One favorite of the Daps Magic team is Believe… in Holiday Magic. This nighttime spectacular captures the spirit and joy of Christmas with stirring music, beautiful fireworks, projections, and, often, it even snows at the end of the show. This wasn’t the case on Sunday night when the show debuted for the 2025 holiday season. After a weekend of inclement weather forcing the cancellation of the show on Friday and Saturday nights, it returned on Sunday night. Instead of returning with snow, it returned with rain.

About an hour before the return of this show, the rain started to come down. Daps Magic had a spot in front of the castle in the Hub. A light sprinkle turned into a downpour, and within minutes, a puddle that was several inches deep had formed. People who had been sitting on the ground on blankets were scrambling to grab their stuff and keep them out of the water. Other people decided it was a good time to leave as the rain continued. After the initial downpour, the rain continued to come down at a steady and peaceful pace. The remaining guests enjoyed the adventure of the moment, and multiple new friendships were made. A cheer went up when the announcement was made that the show would begin in 15 minutes (as the rain continued to fall).
Believe… in Holiday Magic was presented, although not all of the fireworks were utilized. However, because of the rain, the fireworks and lights that were used in front of the watching crowds looked that much more beautiful. The ground in front of the castle glistened as the show progressed. People with cameras and phones tried to protect their lenses as the rain increased throughout the show. While it might not have been what everyone envisioned for the experience of watching these fireworks for the first time during the holiday season, it was hard to deny how magical this experience was. Below is Daps Magic’s video of the debut of Believe… in Holiday Magic for the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort this year.
Believe… in Holiday Magic wasn’t the only offering to be impacted throughout the opening weekend of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort. The rain also impacted parades, shows, and even the reopening of Storybook Land Canal Boats. Below are some articles with videos of some of the highlights of the wet weekend:
