Rob Lake Magic with Special Guests the Muppets was originally supposed to open on November 14, 2025, and continue through January 18, 2026. While the show was supposed to have a limited run, that run has become even more limited. The show announced it will now be closing on November 16, 2025, instead of early next year.

When the show closes, it will have had a run that included 20 preview performances and four regular performances.

The show, which stars illusionist Rob Lake, also has several Muppets and other performers in it. This includes Kermit the Frog, Miss Piggy, The Great Gonzo, Fozzie Bear, and other Muppets. There are also illusion assistants that include Jesse Forcha, Noah Mason, Jennifer Orf, Natalie Vatalaro, and Alli Zajac, along with swing illusion assistants Diana Lizette Garcia and Elijah Gragg.

When this show was announced this summer, Rob Lake said, “I’ve been performing magic my entire life, and it has always been my greatest dream to perform my show on Broadway.” Lake continued to say, “Like so many people around the world, I grew up with The Muppets. To work with them and create new illusions for them to appear in my show has been the most rewarding and surprisingly familiar moment. It’s like I have known them my entire life.”

While The Muppets may no longer be on stage in New York City, they will continue to make appearances at Disney Jollywood Nights at Disney’s Hollywood Studios. This hard-ticketed event takes place at Walt Disney World Resort on select nights throughout November and December.

Rob Lake first garnered attention on America’s Got Talent in 2018. Since then, he has toured the world with his magic act. He also served as a creative consultant and illusion designer for Adel’s Las Vegas residency. He is no stranger to Broadway either. He helped design illusions for Death Becomes Her. This time, instead of helping with someone else’s show, he is taking center stage with his magic and the Muppets.
