In a major step towards the realization of a partnership with EPIC, announced by Disney Experiences Chairman Josh D’Amaro at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event last year, Disneyland Resort is now part of Fortnite. Players can now visit Disneyland Game Rush, Disney’s first island that is inspired by the Happiest Place on Earth! Through a series of unique Fortnite mini-games, players can experience the magic of Disneyland and Disney California Adventure.
This will give the chance to battle Spider-Bots and stormtroopers, unlock secrets of the Haunted Mansion, and have many other magical experiences. Each mini-game promises to bring new rewards and nonstop fun. To play, enter the Disneyland Game Rush code in Fortnite: 4617-4819-8826or simply search “Disneyland.”
Below is a look at some of the specifics that were released by the Disney Parks Blog this morning about these new experiences on Fortnite.
Disneyland Game Rush Island and Mini-Games
When players arrive on the Disneyland Game Rush island, they are greeted by a mini-replica of the Disneyland Resort 70th Celebration contemporary sculpture inspired by Sleeping Beauty Castle. While exploring the hub, players can spot beloved attractions in the distance including Sleeping Beauty Castle, Pixar Pal-A-Round, and Incredicoaster.
The Disneyland Game Rush island is also where Disney Parks and Fortnite fans can compete with up to eleven other gamers to play seven different mini-games which appear in a randomized order.
Space Mountain: Rocket Race
All systems are a go as you race along high-speed grind rails through the cosmos in this mini-game inspired by the Tomorrowland attraction in Disneyland park. As you hurtle forward into infinite darkness, master jumping from rail to rail to avoid other players and increase your score by collecting unique coins.
Star Wars: Stormtrooper Showdown
Accept a mission from the Resistance and battle the First Order using Star Wars-inspired blasters and lightsabers in this mini-game modeled after the Star Wars: Rise of the Resistance attraction located in Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland park. Collect coins that drop from defeated enemies to increase your score.
Haunted Mansion: Scavenger Haunt
Join other players on an eerie tour of this house of happy haunts inspired by the Haunted Mansion located in New Orleans Square in Disneyland park. See if you can spot all the references to the attraction as you solve puzzles to reveal hidden coins or open new passageways to secret areas.
WEB Slingers: Spider-Bot Blasters
Save the WEB workshop from complete chaos as Spider-Bots replicate and escape in this action-packed mini game.
Use the environment to destroy as many Spider-Bots as you can for a high score in a shooting gallery inspired by WEB SLINGERS: A Spider-Man Adventure located in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park.
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Sneakout!
Stealthily make your escape from the Collector’s fortress by sneaking through the familiar towering citadel inspired by Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: BREAKOUT! located in Avengers Campus at Disney California Adventure park.
Indiana Jones: Tomb Runner
Inspired by Indiana Jones Adventure located in Adventureland in Disneyland park, it’s a race to the finish line against other players as you collect coins while navigating through a dangerous temple dodging and outrunning steel spikes, lava, and of course giant rolling boulders!
Matterhorn: Slip-and-Climb
Conquer the iconic snow-capped mountain as you race other players to the top of the Matterhorn inspired by the attraction found only in Disneyland park! Master jumping and utilizing your grappling hook along the way but be careful when collecting coins as you could slip and slide with icy debuffs on your feet.
Unlock Magic with the Key to Disneyland
Each mini-game has one virtual Key to Disneyland that can be obtained, so be sure to play through each game more than once to ensure you grab one! Use the keys at the lock station kiosk in order to randomly unlock one of seven gold cosmetic items that are exclusive to the island.
Disneyland Game Rush Shop Royale
Disneyland Game Rush also includes special Disneyland 70th-themed accessories! After collecting as many coins as you can from the mini-games, be sure to stop by the Shop Royale, the pumpkin-carriage item shop found in the Disneyland 70th colorway.
