Monorails – A Month of Thanksgiving

The Monorails are often referred to as the “highway in the sky.” Today, I’m thankful for this mode of transportation. While it certainly isn’t a new form of transportation, it has something to it that makes it feel like it is still futuristic. Perhaps it is the novelty factor of you just don’t see them many places. Perhaps it is because they are so different than most things we usually get to ride. Instead of driving on a road or on rails, it has one rail. That one rail is up in the sky. All of this adds to the cool factor.

I think another reason I enjoy Monorails is that they inspire my imagination. They also are a wonderful example of the power of possibility. That is something that I find quite exciting as well!

I will admit, I love all of the different versions of Monorails around the world. They are a blast at Disneyland, Walt Disney World, Tokyo Disney Resort, Tokyo the city, or even Seattle! Those are just the ones I’ve been able to experience! Wherever I see or experience a Monorail, though, it makes me smile. And something that makes people smile is worth being thankful for!
