“it’s a small world” Holiday Lighting Brightens Up Rainy Night on First Day of Holidays at the Disneyland Resort

The rain, rain, rain came down, down, down on the Disneyland Resort on the first day of the Holiday season. Starting on November 14th and running through January 7, 2026, the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort sees a plethora of seasonal offerings appear around the Happiest Place on Earth! Some of these things were unfortunately cancelled due to the inclement weather. The new version of Storybook Land Canal Boats was open and closed throughout the day as the rain occasionally took a break. The rain led to the cancellation of the A Christmas Fantasy parade, and Mickey’s Holiday Cavalcade was presented instead.

As the rainy day turned into a rainy night, crowds gathered in front of it’s a small world Holiday for the lighting moment. This brought the spirit of the season as they listened to the voice of Bill Rogers accompany the cheery music, as the facade came to life with Christmas lights. This nightly tradition is one of the most beautiful moments that can be found at the Disneyland Resort. It adds plenty of holiday cheer to the area instantly as the colorful lights come to life. On a rainy night, this was even more true! Below is the first, it’s a small world Holiday Lighting of 2025 at the Disneyland Resort during the holidays:

On the opening night of the Holidays at the Disneyland Resort, the it’s a small world Holiday Lighting took place at 5:00 PM.
