Freakier Friday Home Entertainment Review

Freakier Friday – Mr. Daps’ Home Entertainment Review

Freakier Friday is now available for watching from home via digital retailers. It is the next chapter in the lives of Tess and Anna Coleman. Once again, Jamie Lee Curtis and Lindsay Lohan are back. This time, things get even more complicated with the addition of a new generation of bodies to swap. This is a film that is heartwarming, humorous, and fun for the whole family. A worthy successor to its predecessor, this is a family film that is the type of film that Disney traditionally has been known for.

Freakier Friday

Quality

This is a film that doesn’t require a lot to get things right. It looks good. It sounds good. It doesn’t need ridiculous effects. It is simply a feel-good movie that is done well. This movie is very character-driven driven so the bar is to not make any mistakes quality-wise. Thankfully, everything looks great and sounds great as well. There isn’t anything that distracts from the story that is being told, and that is a win.

Extras

There are a few bonus features included with this release of Freakier Friday. Honestly, there could be more. However, what was released made for an enjoyable viewing experience. The featurettes were enjoyable, and so were the deleted scenes. One thing I particularly liked about this release is that the bloopers were included as part of the credits at the end of the movie. I much prefer this over adding them as an extra with the film. Those who have read my reviews before know that generally, bloopers aren’t a win for me with bonus features. This was a good way to do it. Below is a look at the bonus features that were included with this film.

Final Thoughts

Freakier Friday is a refreshing return to the family-friendly Disney live-action comedy. It is fun to watch. It has heart. The actors are clearly enjoying making this film. The story isn’t over the top but is enjoyable. I would love to see Disney release more films like this in the future. It is a movie that I could watch with my parents or my nieces and nephews, and everyone would enjoy it. This is definitely one that is worth adding to a personal media library for Disney fans. The movie, along with the bonus features, makes for a wonderful watching experience that leaves the viewer walking away feeling happy after. I give it a solid hat tip. Definitely get this film and show Disney that we’d like more like this!
