Muppets fans have another reason to be excited! Along with a 50th anniversary special of The Muppet Show arriving in 2026, there will also be a new attraction at Walt Disney World Resort. Disney has now announced that Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will be opening at Disney’s Hollywood Studios in the summer of 2026.
New Audio-Animatronics
Rock ‘n’ Roller Coaster Starring The Muppets will have fans rocking and rolling through Hollywood on a wild ride with the Electric Mayhem. This will include everything one would expect from the Mayhem, including backstage chaos, high-speed thrills, and the legendary Muppet humor. It will also feature an all-new Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure.
Disney shared that Scooter, in his capacity as band manager, along with a dedicated team of penguin audio engineers, will be doing his best to convince the Electric Mayhem to stop laying down tracks so they won’t be late for their own concert. Disney noted that this is the first time Scooter has ever been imagined as an Audio-Animatronics figure. It was also teased that “he might not be the only Muppet Audio-Animatronics figure joining the attraction.” More specifics about that have not been revealed yet, though.
