Strange New Worlds is set to have a complete fourth season. This will be followed by a fifth season that has six episodes. Upon the completion of this series, the U.S.S. Enterprise will be heading into a new and familiar chapter in Star Trek history. This next chapter will see Captain Kirk taking the center seat on the bridge. There has been discussion of another series that explores the first year of Captain Kirk in command of the Enterprise, but nothing has moved beyond that at this point. This would show the lead-up between the end of Strange New Worlds and the beginning of The Original Series. At this point, the only confirmed future Star Trek series will be the final seasons of Strange New Worlds and the upcoming Star Trek: Starfleet Academy.
