Michael Moriarty has been appointed as the next Executive Vice President and Chief Financial Officer, Disney Experiences. The announcement was made by the Chairman of Disney Experiences, Josh D’Amaro.
Moriarty has almost two decades of Disney leadership experience. He has held roles as the CFO of Walt Disney Imagineering and also the Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. He also held finance leadership roles at Walt Disney World Resort. For the last five years, he has been the President and Managing Director of Hong Kong Disneyland Resort. A role in which he has been liked by both Cast Members and guests. Under his leadership, the resort has seen significant expansions. This includes the opening of World of Frozen, which contributed to a record-breaking year in 2024. He also led the launch of a year-long celebration of the 20th anniversary at Hong Kong Disneyland. This is continuing into next year.

“Michael Moriarty brings a deep understanding of our long-term strategy to broaden the reach and impact of Disney Experiences,” said D’Amaro. “His global perspective and leadership will help guide us through an exciting chapter of growth, reaching new fans in new places and on new platforms.”
Moriarty replaces Kevin Lansberry. Disney announced that Lansberry will be retiring in February 2026 after an incredible 39-year career with Disney. During his time at Disney, he worked in multiple roles at Disneyland and Walt Disney World Resorts in Finance, Business Development, Alliances, and Operations. He also held the interim role as CFO for The Walt Disney Company in 2023.
At this time, a replacement for Moriarty at Hong Kong Disneyland has not been announced. Disney says that this will happen at a later date.
