The Disney Destiny has begun its crossing of the Atlantic Ocean to its new home at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. The 5,000 nautical mile trek will take approximately 2 weeks. Along the way, the ship will make a stop at its first port of call at Funchal, Portugal. The Disney Cruise Line released a couple of pictures as it began this trek.

During the trip across the Atlantic Ocean, the cast and crew will be on board, making final preparations to be sure that the Disney Destiny is shipshape when it arrives in Florida in early November. This will be followed by its maiden voyage on November 20, 2025.
The Disney Destiny is the first Disney Cruise Line ship that is themed to heroes and villains. When guests board her, they will find themselves in the Grand Hall with a statue of the Black Panther. They may also encounter some of their favorite heroes and villains while aboard the ship. There will also be some incredible entertainment, culinary offerings and experiences, and more! This includes the debut aboard the Disney Cruise Line of the Broadway-style show Disney Hercules.
When the Disney Destiny goes on its maiden voyage in November, it will depart from Fort Lauderdale. The ship will visit Disney Lookout Cay at Lighthouse Point and Disney Castaway Cay before returning to Fort Lauderdale. It will then spend its inaugural season going on four and five-night cruises in the Bahamas and Caribbean. For more information about the ship’s itineraries, please visit DisneyCruise.com.
