Last weekend, Disney fans descended on Disney’s Coronado Springs Resort at Walt Disney World Resort for Destination D23 – A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney. Throughout the weekend, there were moments of magic that included special reveals, nostalgic memories, and some incredible musical performances. In the coming days and weeks, Daps Magic will be looking at the various moments that were experienced at Destination D23 this year. One of these moments came at the end of D2K Animated Classics. This panel looked back at the animated classics that came out during the early 2000s. This includes Tarzan, Atlantis: The Lost Empire, Treasure Planet, and Brother Bear. The panel included Disney Legend Don Hahn, Kevin Lima, Ron Clements, and Aaron Blaise. The panel was hosted by Michael James Scott.
At the end of the panel, a special performance of Trashin’ the Camp from Tarzan came to life in front of fans’ eyes as Joey Fatone of *NSYNC sang his way onto the stage. He was backed by everyone who was already on the stage in one form or another. It was an absolutely magical moment. It also demonstrated how some of these favorite Disney songs become so special as everyone on stage was fully into the performance. It quickly became very apparent how some favorite Disney songs can turn from a fun tune into a showstopping number. Check out this performance of Trashin’ the Camp below!
Trashin’ the Camp w/ Joey Fatone at Destination D23
Trashin’ the Camp was performed by Phil Collins and *NSYNC when Tarzan was originally released in 1999. This panel and performance were just one of many exciting things that happened at Destination D23. At this sold-out event, fans also learned the dates for D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan event in 2026.
