New Trailer for ‘The Mandalorian & Grogu’ Gives Clues to New Adventure

A new trailer has been released for The Mandalorian & Grogu. It gives clues as to what fans will see when Djin Djarin and Grogu go on their next adventure, but this time on the big screen. The film takes place after the fall of the Empire. Now, the fledgling New Republic is trying to preserve everything that the Rebellion fought for. To do that, they enlist the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu (as himself). 

Mando and Grogu are ready for a fight. In this new trailer, they also have a brand-new Razor Crest to use on their next adventure. Take a look at the new trailer below and see some of what will be coming when this film arrives in theaters on May 22, 2026.

The Mandalorian & Grogu Official Description

The evil Empire has fallen, and Imperial warlords remain scattered throughout the galaxy. As the fledgling New Republic works to protect everything the Rebellion fought for, they have enlisted the help of legendary Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin (Pedro Pascal) and his young apprentice Grogu.

Directed by Jon Favreau, Star WarsThe Mandalorian and Grogu also stars Sigourney Weaver and is produced by Jon Favreau, Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce, with music composed by Ludwig Göransson.

As can be seen in this trailer, this appears to be a fun and action-packed film with no shortage of humor. While there will undoubtedly be some serious stakes to this new mission, it appears that the movie will overall be a fun ride. There are some nods to other Star Wars films and series. Sigourney Weaver also makes her Star Wars debut as a Rebel Alliance Colonel.

The Mandalorian & Grogu is directed by Jon Favreau, who is also producing alongside Kathleen Kennedy, Dave Filoni, and Ian Bryce. Favreau and Dave Filoni wrote the screenplay for the movie. The film’s music is composed by Ludwig Göransson, who returns to the franchise once again.

When the movie arrives in theaters, an updated version of Millennium Falcon: Smugglers Run will open at Star Wars: Galaxy’s Edge at Disneyland and Disney’s Hollywood Studios.
