On Thursdays through Sundays (September 25 – October 31, 2025, plus Columbus Day, October 13), Knott’s Berry Farm is celebrating Halloween in a way that is spooky instead of scary during the day. This is with the help of the Bob Baker Marionette Theater, Peanuts, and Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies (and more). Knott’s Spooky Farm is the family-friendly Halloween celebration that Knott’s Berry Farm offers. On each of the days that Knott’s Spooky Farm is offered, tons of family fun can be had. There are also quite a few treats!

Activities
Daps Magic was invited to experience Knott’s Spooky Farm and did so on the opening weekend of this offering. The day was a lot of fun. The team arrived in the morning and discovered the crowds to be surprisingly light. By lunchtime, however, this was beginning to pivot. When walking into Knott’s, trick-or-treat bags are being handed out.

These can be used to trick-or-treat stands throughout Knott’s. Early in the day, there were little to no lines for trick-or-treating. The lines got longer as the day progressed. There were also clearly certain stations that had a favorite candy that had a bigger draw for young guests. It was a lot of fun seeing families trick-or-treating together and the creative costumes that were worn to the park.

The Livery Stable had been transformed into Creepy Critters of Calico. Both inside and out, some creepy critters could be seen up close! This is a fun offering every year. This year, it seemed like there were more of these spooky little friends than ever!

Over at Calico Park, Spooktivities were happening throughout the day. They included games, storytelling, dancing, and more. On top of that, some favorite Peanuts friends showed up throughout the day!

Right next to the stage, there were also some fun Halloween activities for sale. This included cookie decorating and pumpkin decorating. Both of these were $7.00.

Throughout Ghost Town, some ghosts could be found haunting and interacting with people throughout the day. This was a fun addition that just brought the area to life (or death?) even more.

The Timber Mountain Log Ride has been transformed into the Halloween Hootenanny. This is a fun change for the attraction and includes the music of Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies!

Decorations could be found throughout Knott’s Berry Farm as well. These made for some good seasonal photo ops. There were Knott’s photographers on hand for some of these locations as well. One popular location for this was in Charleston Circle and its pile of pumpkins on the fountain.

Entertainment
Bob Baker Marionette Theater
The entertainment was really solid for Knott’s Spooky Farm. Throughout the day, there are multiple different offerings to see and enjoy. The day is structured in a way that both the entertainment and activities all build to a climax of Snoopy’s Spooktacular Costume Party at the Calico Mine Stage in the late afternoon. We’ll return to that later. First off, the Bob Baker Marionette Theater is giving performances at the Bird Cage Theatre throughout the day. This is a delight, and the show has been updated this year with what appear to be new marionettes. Don’t miss this one!
Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies
Over on the Calico Mine Stage, the popular Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies perform throughout the day. This group has three unique sets that they play with a variety of tunes and styles of music being blended into their version of country. The tables were filled up for each of their performances throughout the day, but there was space to sit on the grass for those who showed up as they began playing.

Snoopy’s Spectacular Costume Party
As mentioned before, the whole day built up to Snoopy’s Spectacular Costume Party. Krazy Kirk and the Hillbillies provide the music for this moment, which includes Charlie Brown and the gang as well. Guests who are in costume (or who aren’t) are invited to join a cavalcade around the viewing area of the Calico Mine Stage to celebrate Halloween in a fun and wholesome way.

After Snoopy’s Spooktacular Halloween Party, buttons are given out to those who participated and attended. It is a nice little bonus that people absolutely loved.

During the Halloween season, seasonal foods are available throughout the park. Because it is Halloween time, the foods lean into the theme. There are things like alligator, cow tongue, frog legs, and more. There are also some fun and spicy names to be found on the menus throughout the park. These menus create opportunities to try some food that maybe normally wouldn’t be tried or accessible.

Knott’s Spooky Farm is a wonderful way to celebrate Halloween in a family-friendly environment. There are plenty of fun activities to enjoy! It is repeatable for those who want to visit multiple times. The entertainment is great, the food is yummy, and the activities are completely charming.
