Hong Kong Disneyland to Close on Wednesday Due to Super Typhoon Ragasa

Hong Kong Disneyland will be closed on Wednesday, September 24, 2025, due to the impacts of Super Typhoon Ragasa. The Hong Kong website shared the following update about this closure:

Due to inclement weather, Hong Kong Disneyland Park will be closed for the entire day on September 24 (Wednesday). Inspiration Lake Recreation Centre will remain closed until further notice. Please check our website for the latest information.

Now known as Super Typhoon Ragasa, this is the strongest storm to hit Hong Kong this year. Schools and businesses are closing due to this storm, with people being advised to stay home. Most flights have been suspended until Thursday as well. The weather is expected to deteriorate on Tuesday, with the bulk of the storm expected to hit on Wednesday.

Ragasa has been called the “King of Storms” by China’s meteorological agency. On Monday, the storm had the strength equivalent of a Category 5 hurricane. Wind gusts were up to 177 mph. Eric Chan, Chief Secretary for Administration, said that Ragasa would “pose a serious threat” to Hong Kong. He compared this to two other typhoons that left paths of destruction.

Daps Magic will continue to monitor this story and provide updates as they become available. Here is Hong Kong Disneyland’s official policy regarding storms for those with tickets and travel plans:
