The writer and director of Encanto, Jared Bush, has revealed that he is working on a new attraction for Disney’s Animal Kingdom. Specifically, he is writing new dialogue for the attraction. Bush is also the Chief Creative Officer for Walt Disney Animation Studios. While flying back to the United States from Europe, Bush shared what he was up to with a post on social media saying:
Flying home from Europe and my plane homework will be writing new dialogue for… the Encanto attraction at #DisneyAnimalKingdom which means new words for the magical, fantastical Familia Madrigal! You will not believe what the imagineers are cooking up.
Walt Disney World Resort is currently hard at work on a new Tropical Americas area of Disney’s Animal Kingdom. It will see the stories of Encanto and Indiana Jones brought to the park. One of the new attractions will bring the Madrigal family’s story to life. The attraction has been described in the following way:
Inside the Casita, Antonio has just received his special gift — the ability to communicate with animals — and his room has transformed into a rainforest. It’s time to go explore alongside him, and you never know what member of the family you might bump into…
The Tropical Americas area will cover 11 acres of the park. This will be a space that is both lush and sprawling. When it was announced, Disney Experiences Chairman also shared that it would feel lived in. In the center of the area, there will be a large fountain where villagers like to gather and tell stories. There will also be a giant working carousel featuring favorite animals from Disney stories that were created by a woodcarver.
