Guests who are fans of the culinary experience at the Disneyland Resort are undoubtedly aware, or have enjoyed, the Napa Rose. This signature restaurant at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa serves refined California cuisine, with dishes made from ingredients sourced locally and internationally. The restaurant also has incredible wines from around the globe. Earlier this year, it closed for a refurbishment that was originally set to be completed at the end of the summer. Now, an update on its webpage on the Disneyland Resort website indicates that the closure will last significantly longer.
An update on the page says the following:
Napa Rose is temporarily closed for refurbishment and is planned to reopen in early 2026.
Check back for updates about the restaurant’s exquisite new look and menu.
Recently, at Destination D23: A Journey Around the Worlds of Disney, details about this refurbishment were revealed. This included new concept art showing some of the changes that guests will experience when the restaurant opens in early 2026. The restaurant will feature a new interior and an expanded patio once it is completed.

The award-winning Napa Rose is taking its dining experience to the next level with an exquisite new look that celebrates Craftsman design with an eye toward modern Californian luxury and approachability. The restaurant will have a rustic elegance and will be a tapestry of California’s storied history of wine and wine making, using natural textures such as reclaimed French oak flooring and columns (a type of wood used to make wine barrels), hand-pinged artisan metals, leathers, deep colors of cabernet, and an eye-catching chandelier inspired by California’s Mission grapevines.
Along with its existing dynamic exhibition kitchen, the restaurant will expand the counters where guests can watch the masters in action. Outside, the gorgeous patio is being enhanced with more seating for lovely al fresco dining, with two new fireplaces adding to the charming ambiance.
As can be seen in the concept art below, the outdoor patio will be enhanced to welcome more guests to enjoy al fresco dining. The patio will allow guests to enjoy outdoor seating surrounded by lush greenery and soft lighting. Diners will enjoy incredible food while enjoying the beautiful outdoor setting once it is complete.
