The Disney Adventure’s maiden voyage has been delayed. Originally scheduled for December 15, 2025, the maiden voyage will now be March 10, 20256 in Singapore. Guests who were originally booked on the maiden voyage and impacted sailings between December 15th and March 12th have been notified by the Disney Cruise Line.
Joe Schlott, President of Disney Signature Experiences, said the following about the delay:
As we work on the final touches to bring the Disney Adventure to our guests, we’ve encountered unexpected delays in the shipbuilding process… To ensure the experience we deliver reflects our commitment to excellence, we’ve made the decision to adjust our timeline. We know this may be disappointing to our guests, and we’re working directly with them to offer flexible rebooking options and uphold the trust they place in us.
Those who were booked on the original maiden voyage will automatically be rebooked on the new maiden voyage. They will also receive a 50% refund. If they cannot go on this cruise, they will have the option to receive a full refund and along with a 50% discount on a future cruise. For those who were booked on other impacted voyages, they will receive a full refund. They will also be allowed to receive a 50% on a future sailing of their choice. These discounts are valid for cruises that depart on or before March 31, 2027.
The Disney Adventure was originally built as the Global Dream. This was for the now-closed Genting Hong Kong cruise line. Disney purchased the Global Dream and is completing its construction, renaming it the Disney Adventure. When it joins the Disney Cruise Line fleet, it will be its biggest ship. The ship will be sailing from Singapore for 5 years and will be able to accommodate 6,700 passengers. It will also have full attractions, entertainment, and be packed full of Disney magic.
