This week, Radiator Springs Racers closed for a month-long refurbishment at Disney California Adventure. During the closure, it will reportedly see the attraction getting track resurfacing, lighting upgrades, and infrastructure enhancements. It is set to reopen on September 26, 2025.
Work began quickly on the attraction once it closed. Just days after its closure, walls and scaffolding could be seen surrounding the track and mountains in Cars Land, where the racers cruise. Daps Magic team member Steven stopped by this week and took the following photos of what the area looks like.
Radiator Springs Racers opened, along with Cars Land, in June 2012. It became an instant favorite with guests and remains one of the most popular attractions at Disney California Adventure to this day. It takes guests on a ride through Radiator Springs, and then they get to race against other guests. Here is a ride-through of the attraction:
