The Muppets are heading to Broadway! They will be joining Magician Rob Lake this holiday season on Broadway, and tickets will be available soon. The limited-run show will begin on October 18th, officially opening on November 6th. The 12-week run will continue through January 18, 2026. Tickets will go on sale on September 4, 2025.
“I’ve been performing magic my entire life, and it has always been my greatest dream to perform my show on Broadway,” says Lake in a statement. “Like so many people around the world, I grew up with The Muppets. To work with them and create new illusions for them to appear in my show has been the most rewarding and surprisingly familiar moment. It’s like I have known them my entire life.”
This will not be the first time that The Muppets have starred in a stage show. They have also appeared on stage shows in Disney theme parks, including Disney Jollywood Nights later this year. There was once a project reportedly being worked on to bring them to Broadway. However, this never appeared. It hasn’t been shared what specific Muppets will be appearing in this Broadway show other than Kermit the Frog. It was just shared that “some of his friends” will be included.
Rob Lake first garnered attention on America’s Got Talent in 2018. Since then, he has toured the world with his magic act. He also served as a creative consultant and illusion designer for Adel’s Las Vegas residency. He is no stranger to Broadway either. He helped design illusions for Death Becomes Her. This time, instead of helping with someone else’s show, he will be taking center stage with his magic.

Other people working on the show are creative consultant Bethany Pettigrew and script consultant Kevin Zak (Ginger Twinsies). The show will be produced by Rob Lake Productions, Joe Quenqua, and Glass Half Full Productions. Wagner Johnson Productions serves as the executive producers. More of the creative team members will be announced at a later date.
