On this day in 2010, The Taste of Africa Street Party kicked off officially in Harambe at Disney’s Animal Kingdom in Walt Disney World. Beginning each night with Mickey’s Jammin’ Jungle Parade, the event included live music, DJ dance parties, regional food and drink tastings, African-made souvenirs, and animal education experiences.
