On this day in 1960, screenwriter Terry Rossio was born. He has co-written some of the most successful films of the last 20 years. Worldwide box office receipts of $6.1 billion make him the ninth most successful screenwriter of all time. Disney fans will know his work from both the animated and live-action ‘Aladdin,’ the ‘Pirates of the Caribbean’ franchise, ‘Treasure Planet,’ the ‘National Treasure’ series, and ‘Jake and the Neverland Pirates.’ He even wrote ‘Shrek!’ [60 years ago in 2025]
