On this day in 1940, award-winning stage and screen actor Sir Patrick Stewart was born. For Disney, he voiced characters in ‘Chicken Little,’ ‘Bambi II,’ and ‘Snow White: An Enchanting Musical’ at Disneyland. He portrayed Professor Charles Xavier in the ‘X-Men’ series and in recent Marvel films. Stewart has stated that his biggest regret was having to pass on major roles of the Disney Renaissance, like King Triton, Cogsworth, Jafar, Zazu, and Zeus. His iconic role as Jean-Luc Picard in the ‘Star Trek’ franchise created many scheduling conflicts. [85 years ago in 2025]
