On this day in 2000, ‘Disney’s The Kid’ was released in theaters. It starred Bruce Willis as Russ, a cynical, disconnected, middle-aged image consultant, and Spencer Breslin as Rusty, an almost-8-year-old kid who magically appears in Russ’ house. Soon, it is revealed that, incredibly, Russ and Rusty are actually the same person. The two begin a journey of defining who they really are, dealing with past trauma, and realizing what is most important in life. [25 years ago in 2025]
