Disneyland Paris has announced that it will be presenting a fireworks and drone show for France’s Bastille Day. This nighttime spectacular will include favorite Disney and Pixar stories that have a French connection. This includes Beauty and the Beast and Ratatouille, to name just a couple. The nighttime spectacular for Bastille Day will be presented as long as weather and technical conditions allow for it.
The nighttime presentation will celebrate the national day of France, which is July 14th. This is the anniversary of the Storming of the Bastille on July 14, 1789, which was a major event during the French Revolution. It also celebrates the Fête de la Fédération, a celebration of the unity of the French people on July 14, 1790. Each year, celebrations are held throughout the country.

Last year, the Bastille Day nighttime spectacular at Disneyland Paris set a new GUINNESS WORLD RECORDS title for orchestrating “the Largest aerial display of a fictional character formed by multirotors/drones.” This utilized 1,571 drones to illuminate the night sky, creating a breathtaking giant tricolor Mickey Mouse head over Sleeping Beauty Castle. It is unknown what is in store for this year’s Bastille Day nighttime spectacular.
