On Friday, July 18, 2025, the new Walt Disney World Resort nighttime parade made its debut. Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away soft opened for guests visiting the Magic Kingdom. The night came alive as the new theme song filled the air, accompanying the vibrant floats as they made their way from Main Street, U.S.A. to Frontierland in front of thousands of eager guests.
The opening of the parade is reminiscent of the Main Street Electrical Parade. Then the orchestral score takes over and builds on the legacy that started so many years ago with the Main Street Electrical Parade and later Spectromagic.
The Blue Fairy leads the parade. She is followed by a collection of floats with Disney and Pixar characters. This ultimately ends with a new float that is a train named Whimsy. With childlike wonder, Whimsy pulls a train with quite a few characters aboard. This includes Goofy, Pluto, Donald Duck, Daisy Duck, Snow White, Dopey, Rapunzel, Flynn Rider, Aladdin, Jasmine, Mickey Mouse, and Minnie Mouse.
Disney shared a video highlighting the parade and also photos. Check them out here:

Disney Starlight: Dream the Night Away will officially open on July 20, 2025. When it does, it will be offered twice a night at 9:00 PM and 11:00 PM. For both of these performances, the parade will start in Town Square and make its way up Main Street, U.S.A., around the Hub, and through Liberty Square and Frontierland.
Also starting on July 20th, Annual Passholders will need reservations if they want to directly enter Magic Kingdom on any day. They will not be able to enter after 2:00 PM during the week, like they previously could. They will still be able to enter other parks after 2:00 PM and then park hop if they wish.
