The Monorails at Walt Disney World Resort have been an iconic way to travel around the Most Magical Place on Earth since opening in 1971. Today, the Walt Disney World Monorail system has approximately 22 million riders annually.

Walt Disney World revealed that after the Monorails received an update to illuminate the beams under the Monorail trains at night, a new upgrade is happening this week. This new feature will allow the logo on each of the trains to glow in the dark.

It is unknown at this time if the new glow-in-the-dark logos will match the lights that illuminate the beams or if they will all be a single color. It could go either way, as one picture that was shared by Walt Disney World appears to show a blue logo with a green glow under a Monorail train. Currently, 12 trains make up the Monorail fleet. Either way, they will stand out in the dark as they fly through the skies over Walt Disney World Resort.

The current fleet of Monorails at Walt Disney World Resort is made up of Mark VI Monorails. These trains were built by Bombardier Transportation.
