Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort begins on August 22nd and continues through October 31, 2025. This celebration of all that is Halloween will have many spooky offerings for Disney fans to enjoy. This includes new costumes for Mickey, Minnie, and other Disney friends, decorations, the return of Halloween Screams, the Oogie Boogie Bash, and a whole lot more! Below is a look at the highlights of the offerings at the Disneyland Resort during Halloween Time! Check them out and then share what you are most excited about this year.
Disneyland
Haunted Mansion Holiday
Jack Skellington will be once again decking the halls of the Haunted Mansion as it is transformed into Haunted Mansion Holiday. This will include a new gingerbread house made specifically for this year’s Haunted Mansion Holiday in the ballroom. Enjoy a tour through the mansion where two holidays collide, thanks to Jack Skellington.
Halloween Screams
The popular Halloween Screams nighttime spectacular will be returning nightly during Halloween Time at Disneyland. This spooky show has Jack Skellington taking over Sleeping Beauty Castle. He is joined by Disney Villains like Hades and Ursula throughout the show, which includes projections and other special effects that show these creatures of the night. On select nights, there will also be fireworks over the skies of Disneyland included with Halloween Screams.
Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tours
See Disneyland in a different way with Disney’s Happiest Haunts Guided Tours. This tour includes chilling stories and thrilling experiences during the two-hour experience at Disneyland. It also includes Lightning Lane access to a select attraction and reserved viewing for Halloween Screams.
Disney California Adventure
At Disney California Adventure, there is no shortage of Halloween experiences to be had during this spooky season. On top of the separately ticketed Oogie Boogie Bash, there are the following experiences to be enjoyed during Halloween Time:
Cars Land
The residents of Radiator Springs will transform this destination into a celebration of Halloween for the season as it becomes Radiator Screams. There will be Halloween overlays for Luigi’s Honkin’ Haul-O-Ween and Mater’s Graveyard JamBOOree. Lightning McQueen and his friends from Radiator Springs will also be showing off their creative costumes, or car-stumes! On top of that, there will be a hauntingly wonderful moment nightly when the lights come on in town that you won’t want to miss!
Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark
Guardians of the Galaxy – Mission: Breakout! will transform in the evenings at Avengers Campus into Guardians of the Galaxy – Monsters After Dark. In this version of the attraction, Groot has been left behind in the Collector’s Fortress, which has unfortunately been overrun with monsters! This leads to a thrilling chase where guests must team up with Rocket to distract the beasts and escape all of the chaos with Groot before being caught!
Mickey’s Trick & Treat
For some spooky fun in the Disney Theater, stop by and check out how Mickey Mouse and friends celebrate Halloween in Mickey’s Trick & Treat. This is an interactive show that is a lot of fun for kids and kids at heart. It will temporarily replace Disney Jr. Mickey Mouse Clubhouse Live! during the Halloween season. This show is family-friendly and celebrates the spirit of spooky without scaring anyone. Guests will also get to walk away with a special treat!
New Halloween Food Offerings
There will be plenty of sweet and not-so-sweet treats to enjoy during Halloween Time at the Disneyland Resort. Already, Disney has revealed a couple of the offerings this year. Guests will once again be able to enjoy the returning Oogie Boogie lemonade. This year, there will also be the new jalapeño-cream cheese bread. There will be plenty of more limited-time food and beverage offerings available for Halloween Time. Daps Magic will report on them as they are announced.
Halloween Merchandise
There will also be a collection of Halloween merchandise that will arrive at the Disneyland Resort this year. This year, the Mickey Mouse Family Halloween Collection will be available to add the perfect autumnal touch to a visit to the Happiest Place on Earth. There will also be other collections revealed at a later date, closer to the season.
The seasonal items will be found at select locations throughout the Disneyland Resort. It is a good idea to stop by the World of Disney in the Downtown Disney District, Elias & Co. at Disney California Adventure, and the Emporium on Main Street, USA at Disneyland.
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit
Pluto’s Pumpkin Pursuit will be found throughout the Disneyland Resort. This will be available from August 29 through October 31st. Guests can purchase an activity map and then seek out Disney-themed pumpkins that are hidden in Disneyland, Disney California Adventure, or Downtown Disney District. Find the pumpkins, complete the map, and then exchange it for a wicked prize!
Halloween Fun at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort
There will also be plenty of Halloween fun to be had at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort. This includes seeing Disney characters dressed in Halloween attire and meeting them at Goofy’s Kitchen Celebrates Halloween or at Mickey’s Autumn Adventures at Storytellers Cafe.
For guests staying overnight at the Hotels of the Disneyland Resort, there are other special perks to be enjoyed. This includes treat trails on select afternoons and the option to purchase a Halloween-themed in-room celebration. This includes festively themed gift baskets and decorations. This year, for the first time, the Broken Spell Lounge at the Disneyland Hotel will feature a cocktail menu that is themed to Disney Villains!
Over at Disney’s Grand Californian Hotel & Spa there will be a skeleTON of seasonal delights. Pumpkin carvers will be hard at work turning gourds into a masterpiece, a Halloween-themed confectionary display will be materializing, and there will also be Halloween-inspired treatments at Tenagya Stone Spa.
