On this day in 1999, Disneyland hosted a spooky soiree to celebrate the Haunted Mansion’s 30th anniversary. Over 1000 fans gathered in the Fantasyland Theatre to “call in the spirits” and hear first-hand recollections from Haunted Mansion creators Marc Davis, Rolly Crump, X. Atencio, Buddy Baker, and Sam McKim. Then the guests took a midnight ride through the Mansion itself, complete with live phantoms, like a knight in the hallway and bridesmaids in the attic!
