On this day in 1990, the animated TV series ‘TaleSpin’ debuted. It aired as part of ‘The Disney Afternoon’ show lineup for a total of 65 episodes over only 15 months. The series featured Baloo, Louie, and Shere Khan from the 1967 film, ‘The Jungle Book.’ ‘TaleSpin’ was nominated for an Emmy Award for Outstanding Animated Program in 1991.
