On this day in 2015, Pixar’s 15th animated film, ‘Inside Out’ premiered at the Cannes Film Festival in France. Although the film follows an 11-year-old American girl, the emotions she experiences are universal. Joy, Anger, Disgust, Fear, and Sadness were received enthusiastically by the international audience, with one source saying ‘Inside Out’ got double the applause of any other film. However, its gala premiere status made it ineligible for competition at the festival. [10 years ago in 2025]
