Starting in 2026, the runDisney races at the Disneyland Resort will be suspended. The announcement was made on the top of the runDisney website. It reads as follows:
Due to upcoming construction impacts, runDisney races at the Disneyland® Resort will be placed on hiatus in 2026 after the conclusion of the 2026 Disneyland® Half Marathon Weekend presented by HONDA. We will continue to offer races at Walt Disney World® Resort, as well as virtual offerings.
As mentioned in the statement, the final race at the Disneyland Resort for the foreseeable future will be the 2026 Disneyland Half Marathon Weekend. This event takes place from January 29–February 1, 2026.
The cessation of races at the Disneyland Resort comes after the approval of DisneylandForward by the city of Anaheim. Construction related to the future growth of the Disneyland Resort that has been enabled by this initiative may be the cause. Daps Magic will continue to follow this story, particularly any DisneylandForward updates, and provide news when it becomes available.
