New Details Revealed About Lion King Attraction at Disney Adventure World

It’s an exciting weekend for fans of Disneyland Paris and/or Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Lion King. New details have been revealed about a Lion King attraction that is coming to Disney Adventure World at Disneyland Paris. The first look was revealed last year at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. This was followed by a closer look at the model of the attraction during the Disney Annual Shareholder Meeting. Today, Disney shared more about what fans can expect when the ride opens. Below is a video showing the initial model shared at D23 last year, followed by new information about the attraction.

Disney shares that the new Lion King attraction will open after the opening of World of Frozen in 2026 at Disney Adventure World. This water attraction will take guests right into the heart of the Pride Lands. Simba will be there waiting for an unforgettable adventure that includes the iconic and beloved songs of The Lion King.

Disney shared the following about the attraction:

After making their way to the caves beneath the 120-foot-high Pride Rock, guests will take their own place in the Circle of Life when they embark on a sensational and musical adventure, moving through iconic scenes and sceneries from the beloved animated movie.

This attraction will bring the story to life with state-of-the-art special effects and advanced Audio-Animatronics technology. It will also be one of the biggest attractions at Disneyland Paris. It will include three exciting slopes, one of which will see guests plunging down 52 feet!

This attraction will also be a part of a bigger, all-new immersive world that is dedicated to the characters and stories from the film. The area will include dining, shopping, and opportunities to meet some favorite characters.
