Disneyland Paris Hosts 75 Ill Children for World Wish Day

April 29th is World Wish Day. To celebrate this day, The Walt Disney Company has launched its “Disney Week of Wishes.” At Disneyland Paris, 75 ill children were invited to experience a magical weekend at this magical place. Disneyland Paris shared the following about this special experience for these children.

Today is World Wish Day! Last weekend, 75 Make-A-Wish children from across Europe visited Disneyland Paris with their families. They enjoyed three magical days in both parks, celebrating World Wish Day to the rhythm of the Disney Music Festival and watching their dreams come true before their eyes!

Upon arriving at Disney Newport Bay Club on Friday, the families met up with Disney VoluntEARS who accompanied them throughout their stay to make the most of their favourite attractions and shows.

Together with their parents, brothers and sisters, the children experienced the magic and joy of an escape at Disneyland Paris – including the new Disney Music Festival, where they met and shared fun moments with their favourite characters through music.  Among the weekend’s highlights, on Saturday morning, a breakfast show was specially produced for the children to discover their inner heroes alongside Tiana, Judy Hopps, Mirabel, Miguel, Mickey and Minnie Mouse.

“We are always very happy to be able to offer moments of wonder and joy to children and their families, especially at times when they need it most. It is one of our greatest sources of pride at Disneyland Paris,” said Natacha Rafalski, Présidente of Disneyland Paris.

For Eve – who came from London and dreamed of performing in public – “the chance to sing and dance with Sam Ryder will always be a favourite memory of mine.”

Throughout the year, Disneyland Paris welcomes more than 1,000 seriously ill children from more than 40 French and European associations. Since 1980, Disney has granted the wishes of more than 165,000 seriously ill children, including more than 20,000 at Disneyland Paris.
