Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival at Tokyo Disney Resort Finds Corporate Sponsor

Last year, Fantasy Springs opened at Tokyo DisneySea. When it did, it added three new areas that are inspired by Disney animated films and a new hotel to the Tokyo Disney Resort. One of the areas is Rapunzel’s Forest where the Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival attraction can be found. Starting on March 1st, this attraction had a new corporate sponsor.

Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival’s new sponsor is Daihatsu Motor Co., Ltd. The attraction takes guests on a journey that recreates multiple scenes from Tangled as they go on a romantic boat ride. The finale sees guests surrounded by floating lanterns.

Daihatsu became an official sponsor at Tokyo Disney Resort in 2017. Since then, it has sponsored The Happy Ride with Baymax in Tokyo Disneyland, Tokyo Disneyland Parking at Tokyo Disneyland, and now Rapunzel’s Lantern Festival and Tokyo DisneySea Parking at Tokyo DisneySea.

Fantasy Springs also has areas inspired by Peter Pan and Frozen. The entire area opened on June 6, 2024.
