On this day in 1955, Walt Disney Studios took home three trophies at the 7th Emmy Awards. The ceremony was the first Emmy Awards to be televised nationally and was held at the Moulin Rouge Nightclub in Hollywood. Disney’s “Operation Undersea,” an episode of the ‘Disneyland’ TV series, earned an Emmy for Best Individual Program of the Year and another for Best Television Film Editing. The ‘Disneyland’ TV series itself won for Best Variety Series. [70 years ago in 2025]
