After being closed for two days, Universal Studios and the adjoining Universal CityWalk will be reopening on Friday, January 10, 2025. The theme park and shopping, dining, and entertainment district have been closed due to the fires that have been ravaging Los Angeles this week. Universal shared the news via the following post on Thursday:
Universal Studios Hollywood and Universal CityWalk will be open on Friday, January 10 and will resume regular operating hours. We extend our heartfelt sympathies to those impacted by the recent and ongoing fires, as well as our deepest appreciation to the first responders for their valiant and ongoing efforts during this difficult time.
The reopening of Universal Studios and Universal CityWalk comes after thousands of homes in the greater Los Angeles area have been destroyed by multiple fires in recent days. At this point, seven people have died because of the fires. These fires have been the most destructive in the history of Los Angeles.
