On this day in 2020, the ‘Star Wars: Resistance’ two-part series finale aired, entitled “The Escape.” The show ran for two seasons and 40 episodes. ‘Resistance’ took place during the events of the ‘Star Wars’ sequel trilogy. It followed New Republic pilot Kazuda Xiono who was recruited by Poe Dameron and the Resistance to spy on the First Order. Co-creator Dave Filoni cited anime and his grandfather’s experiences in WWII as inspiration for the show. [5 years ago in 2025]
