On this day in 1990, Disney and Coca-Cola signed a 15-year agreement that made Coke the exclusive soft drink supplier to Disney’s parks, for tie-ins with movies and consumer products, and later on the Disney Cruise Line. Coca-Cola was also given the right to use Disney characters in its marketing. The deal continued long after the 15 years and expanded in the 2000s. Coke’s relationship with Disney began in 1950 when they sponsored Disney’s first TV show. [35 years ago in 2025]
