On this day in 1999, the Walt Disney World Very Merry Christmas Parade aired on ABC. That year, the parade ran at night instead of on Christmas morning for the first and only time. The broadcast followed a new format that combined Disney recording artist performances in equal time with the parade. Walt Disney World was prepared to celebrate the new millennium and featured the Millennium Party, Millennium Village, and Illuminations 2000 at EPCOT. [25 years ago in 2024]
