The New Year’s Eve festivities kicked off on December 30th at Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom. The night included dance parties, Mickey and friends dressed in their finest, and the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks spectacular. The immersive nighttime spectacular has fireworks in front of fans watching near the castle, and also behind!
Below is a look at the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks from December 30th at Magic Kingdom. They will presented again twice on New Year’s Eve. After the video is a look at the other New Year’s Eve offerings from around Walt Disney World Resort.
Magic Kingdom
The Fantasy in the Sky fireworks will be offered twice for New Year’s Eve. It will be presented at 6:30 PM in the skies above the Magic Kingdom and then again at 11:50 PM. Magic Kingdom will remain open until 1:00 AM on New Year’s Eve.
EPCOT
At EPCOT, there will be DJ dance parties around World Showcase on December 31st. At 6:30 PM, Luminous: The Symphony of Us will be presented. Later, Cheers to the New Year: A Sparkling Celebration kicks off its countdown to midnight at 11:54 PM. EPCOT will remain open until 1:00 AM.
Disney’s Hollywood Studios
Disney’s Hollywood Studios will have a variety of live entertainment and DJs throughout the night. This includes Pixar Dance Party. There will also be special character experiences to help ring in the new year. This will be highlighted with the return of the New Year Countdown Fireworks over the skies of Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The park will remain open until 12:00 AM.
Disney’s Animal Kingdom
Disney’s Animal Kingdom will not be offering any late-night festive events (the animals wouldn’t care for it). The park remains open until 8:00 PM on New Year’s Eve.
