A virtual queue has been in use at Disneyland’s Haunted Mansion since the attraction reopened this summer. Today, the virtual queue was not used for the first time this year. Instead, a new extended queue with an expanded story around the Haunted Mansion was put into use. This comes after months of work on expanding the grounds of the Haunted Mansion.
With the newly expanded standby queue being utilized at the Haunted Mansion, there also is a new way to exit for guests using a mobility device. Guests will enter the attraction via the standby queue or lightning lane to experience the attraction. They will then depart the attraction through a new, accessible elevator exit. During this exit, guests will see an extension of the attraction’s story that includes a gallery of Walt Disney Imagineering artwork.
Recently, Magnolia Park next door was opened once again. With the opening of this area of New Orleans Square, more of the newly expanded grounds of the Haunted Mansion could be seen. Yesterday, walls came down from around the expanded grounds and extended queue. Walls also came down recently from what is now known as Madame Leota’s Somewhere Beyond. This is a new shop that will be opening this winter at the exit of the Haunted Mansion.
There are many fun and exciting details to be found in this new extended queue that is now in use for those utilizing the standby queue. There are also options for guests to experience the attraction with Lightning Lane Multi Pass, as well as Lightning Lane Premier Pass.
