Today is Jim Henson’s birthday. If he were still alive, he would be 88 years old today. Unfortunately, the “idea man” passed away in 1990 at the age of 53. On this special day, Kermit the Frog, Gobo Fraggle, and Oscar the Grouch came together for this special day. A video was released with the trio who shared what a special day it is. As Kermit says in the video, “this is a special day” and it’s a “time when I think about creativity.”
It is also a special day because Kermit, Gobo, and Oscar the Grouch have come together from the worlds of The Muppets, Fraggle Rock, and Sesame Street. This is an incredibly rare thing to see as they come from three separate companies. What these companies have in common is they use characters created by Jim Henson and continue on his legacy.
