Disney Author Ryan March to Appear at Walt Disney Hometown Museum

There are several places around the United States that are important in Disney history. Marceline, Missouri is one of those places. Did you know that it is also home to the Walt Disney Hometown Museum? Opened in 2001, the museum houses a collection of memorabilia from the Disney family’s farm where they lived from 1905 to 1909. The museum is located in the restored Santa Fe Railway Depot. The museum also hosts several events throughout the year.

The next event at the Walt Disney Hometown Museum happens Saturday, September 14 from 3pm to 5pm. Disney author Ryan March will be on hand as he celebrates his new and charming book “Camp Mickey & Minnie: One Wild Summer.” This delightful book was brought to life through illustrations by Bret Iwan, the official voice of Mickey Mouse and a Disney Fine Artist.

Guests attending the event are invited to get to know Ryan and have their book signed. There is no extra purchase necessary to attend. Books will be available in the Museum Store.

Aiming to reconnect kids with the magic of nature, longtime friends and collaborators Ryan March and Bret Iwan have released the first in a planned series of children’s books set in a wilderness camp run by Mickey Mouse, Minnie, Mouse, and friends.

For nearly 25 years, author Ryan March has created engaging content for some of Disney’s biggest fans, from printed publications and video production to live events both on land and at sea. Bret Iwan, meanwhile, is beloved by Disney fans both as a visual artist – designing Disney merchandise collections, creating collectible works of Disney Fine Art, and more; and as a voice artist – recently marking his 15th year as the official voice of Mickey Mouse. Bret’s dual talents give him the distinction of being the first person to both officially draw and voice Mickey Mouse since Walt Disney himself.
