On Saturday, August 10, 2024, Disney Experiences hosted its showcase at D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event. This showcase is where the segment of The Walt Disney Company that is focused on parks, cruises, resorts, Disney Consumer Products, video games, and so much more, share about the exciting things that are in store. In this case, there was a LOT of excitement. The showcase ran for nearly three hours. It was packed with news. It was packed with entertainment. There was so much that came out about it, Daps Magic will be spending the coming days writing about it and analyzing it for even longer. For many Disney parks fans, this panel has been highly anticipated. Two years ago at the last D23 Expo, a big part of the panel was dedicated to “blue sky” possibilities. Coming out of a pandemic that was still greatly impacting the world and a very different leadership style at the top of The Walt Disney Company, this perhaps should not have been surprising. Disney clearly was aware how how guests felt about this approach, however, and adjusted accordingly. Many people in attendance said that this was the best parks panel they had ever attended at a D23 large-scale event like D23: The Ultimate Disney Fan Event or D23: Expo. Some even said it was the best panel they had experienced period at one of these events.
The announcements come as Disney has been sharing that it is turbocharging its Disney Experiences segment. This event showed this off and brought a “wow” factor to it multiple times.
