When guests travel aboard the Disney Cruise Line’s newest ship the Disney Treasure, there will be some magical dining options available to enjoy. One of these options will be a lounge themed to Walt Disney Animation Studios’ The Aristocats. There will also be dining experiences and foods themed to Guardians of the Galaxy, Coco, and even Zootopia! Below is a look at some of the dining opportunities that will be available aboard this magnificent ship when it takes to sea later this year!
Scat Cat Lounge
The Scat Cat Lounge will take its inspiration from The Aristocats. This lounge will be infused with eclectic elegance of an old-school jazz club. It will also interpret the groovy penthouse performance of Everybody Wants to Be a Cat in this artistic salute to this classic animated film. Throughout the lounge, there will be an assortment of hanging lanterns and also a paw print-adorned baby grand piano. This will evoke the bohemian sophistication of the film’s iconic character Scat Cat along with his larger than life persona. The Scat Cat Lounge will be a direct extension of the Grand Hall. It will be taking some design cues from the Grand Hall’s Agrabah-inspired architecture and also assume a complimentary color palette and curated décor. There will also be symbols of cats that will be both hidden and overt throughout the space. This will help bring the animated adventures of Duchess and her mischievous kittens into the real world for the very first time. There will also be live swinging music and a cocktail menu found here.
Here are examples of some of the offerings that will be found on the cocktail menu:
- Served to sip from a French-style ceramic bowl, the Créme de la Créme Martini will fuse cognac and chocolate into a rich, creamy dessert cocktail that will be reminiscent of The Aristocats kittens, Marie, Toulouse and Berlioz’s favorite evening treat.
- The Cat Drink will combine clarified bourbon, amaro, Aperol and fresh lemon into a near translucent cocktail that shows off hand-crafted drinkware that will be embossed with the image of a cat.
- Ideal for two or more guests, The Turkish Tea Experience will honor the Agrabah-inspired architecture of the Grand Hall. The tea-based cocktail will be presented in a bejeweled tea pot and gold-detailed teacups.
Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix
Looking for a Marvel-ous dining experience? The Marvel Celebration of Heroes: Groot Remix will be the place to be for this! On two nights, Worlds of Marvel, Disney Cruise Line’s Marvel-themed dining experience, will be offering this new offering that features both Rocket and Groot from the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise.
The experience will begin with diners coming together to honor the Super Heroes that keep the world safe. Things will get interesting when Groot takes over and does his Groot thing in his Groot way. Along with the incredible food, there will be the beat of an “awesome mix” of hit songs from the past decades. This will also give guests the chance to test their knowledge of the Marvel universe with activities the whole family will enjoy.
For even more Marvel-ous experience, Disney Treasure cruisers will also get to experience Avengers: Quantum Encounter. This is a favorite cinematic dining adventure that follows Ant-Man and The Wasp as they work together to protect the new Quantum Core technology from a fearsome foe.
Plaza de Coco
At Plaza de Coco, diners will get to experience the culinary adventure of a visit to Santa Cecilia as seen in the Pixar Animation Studios film Coco. This restaurant will include traditional recipes from the Rivera family kitchen that will inspire the modern menu that capture the festive flavors of Miguel’s colorful world in a completely fresh new way. There are two evenings that will be offered here that will be full of food and theatrical entertainment during the voyage of the Disney Treasure voyage.
A meal at Plaza de Coco will begin with appetizer options that include Abuelita Elena Shrimp Diabla with chili-chipotle sauce, cilantro, pickled red onion and toasted birotes, and Chorizo Street Croquettes with chili-lime crema, cotija cheese and cilantro. The meal will continue with entrees that include Luisa’s Pollo Asado, which features Michoacán citrus chicken, cilantro rice and serrano-tomatillo salsa; Enrique’s Port Wine Braised Center Cut Beef Short Rib with cheddar cheese and green onion red mash, and long green beans with crisp shallots; Pan-Seared Adobo Spiced Sea Bass with seared scallops, rainbow carrots, spinach, romanesco, peas and chimichurri sauce; a Blistered Poblano Pepper stuffed with Oaxaca cheese and green rice; and Red Capsicum and Green Parsley Grilled Snapper with fried yucca, refried beans, baby spinach and pico de gallo. Dessert will be the grand finale of the meal and include the options of Margarita Lime Cheesecake with a sea salt shortbread and raspberry-agave margarita coulis; Mexican Chocolate Tart with spiced chocolate crème, caramel pecan nuts and chocolate glaze; and Warm Coconut Tres Leches featuring milk-soaked coconut cake, caramel sauce and dulce de leche ice cream.
Jumbeaux’s Sweets
Guests looking for a sweet treat will want to stop by Jumbeaux’s Sweets. This Zootopia-inspired specialty treats. This includes 35 flavors of handmade gelato, ice cream, plant-based frozen desserts and sorbets. Here is a look at some of the other treats that will be available at Jumbeaux’s Sweets:
- Some other treats include the Judy Hopps Carrot Cupcake. Inspired by Officer Judy Hopps and her humble upbringing on her family’s carrot farm, this is a spiced carrot cake layered between dollops of lemon frosting, white chocolate crème and blueberry compote. It is topped with a chocolate piece portraying Judy and is also dotted with brightly colored sprinkles.
- The Nick Wilde Raspberry ‘n Cream Cupcake is inspired by Officer Judy Hopps’ partner in solving crime. It draws flavor inspiration from the color of Nick’s fur and will have red velvet sponge cake that is paired with vanilla frosting, white chocolate crème, raspberry compote and a chocolate décor topping. There is also the Paw Shortbread Sandwich which provides an elevated take on Nick Wilde’s notorious “pawpcicle.” This will include two paw-shaped red velvet shortbread cookies that are filled with vanilla frosting and dulce de leche. It will also be decorated with red fondant and served on the wooden stick meant to resemble the treat that is seen in the film.
- The Mango Leopard Cakesicle will be a lemon fudge cake pop drizzled with mango chocolate glaze and decorated with a bold spotted leopard print.
- Three Carrot Chocolate Covered Strawberries will be served over a cookie crumble soil and then decorated with piped stems that are made of frosting.
- The Zootopia Chocolate Bark Post Card will represent different characters from Zootopia and then carry its own distinct flavor variation that will combine an assortment of dry fruits, nuts, and sprinkles that are in a delicious dark, milk, or white chocolate treat.
The Disney Treasure will take its maiden voyage on December 21, 2024. This voyage will be a seven-night Eastern Caribbean cruise from Port Canaveral, Florida. This will be followed by the inaugural season of seven-night itineraries to the Eastern and Western Caribbean from Port Canaveral. Cruises aboard the Disney Treasure can be booked through Mouseways Travel, the official travel partner of Daps Magic.
