Meilin Lee and her mother Ming Lee arrived today at Disney California Adventure. Their presence is a part of the new Pixar Fest offerings that were added to this summer’s celebration at the Disneyland Resort. Along with these new Pixar characters in the park, six festival marketplaces also opened with foods themed to Pixar stories. Meilin Lee and Ming Lee are both from the Disney and Pixar film Turning Red. They will both be visiting throughout Pixar Fest, which runs until August 4. Red Panda Mei can also be seen in Better Together – A Pixar Pals Celebration parade daily during Pixar Fest.
The first appearance of these characters at Disney California Adventure was at 10:30 AM on May 10th. They are meeting in a photo op that is themed to the Turning Red story. It was found originally across the way closing to The Little Mermaid – Ariel’s Undersea Adventure during Lunar New Year. Now, it is near the Grizzly River Run Water Wheel. This is just steps from where the two met earlier this year. Initially, Meilin Lee was the only character to arrive at 10:30 AM. Her arrival can be seen here:
About 15 minutes later, her mother Ming Lee appeared. She proudly watched her daughter for a minute or two before joining her and interacting with guests.
The line for Meilin and Ming Lee currently stretches to the left of the meet and greet location. As of today, the two characters are scheduled to be meeting with guests between 10:30 AM and 3:00 PM. Times could change, however, so be sure to check the times guide in the Disneyland app or Disneyland website.
