2025 Disneyland Half Marathon Themes and Details Revealed by runDisney

The themes and details for the 2025 Disneyland Half Marathon have been revealed by runDisney. The weekend takes place from January 30 through February 2, 2025. The events of the weekend include a heroic 5K, a Star Wars 10K, a Mickey Mouse and Friends half marathon and also the Dumbo challenge. There are also Kids Races, in-Park yoga and more. The following details were revealed by runDisney for each of these events.

Disneyland 5K presented by HONDA

Friday, January 31, 2025 – Registration Opening Soon

Price: $120

Heroic Adventures

Rocket on over to the heroic 2025 Disneyland 5K. Hosted by Groot, this 3.1-mile jaunt will be epic fun for everyone!

  • Club runDisney Gold and Platinum Registration begins June 11, 2024
  • General Registration opens June 18, 2024 at 7:00 AM PT | 10:00 AM ET

Registration fee varies based on the date of purchase:

  • June 18, 2024 – December 16, 2024: $120.00
  • December 17, 2024 – January 23, 2025: $130.00

Prices include a 6.6% platform service fee.

During the race weekend we may implement health and safety measures if they are deemed appropriate.

Registration fee is non-refundable and non-transferable.

Proof of Time Guidelines

Proof of time is not required for the 5K and 10K races. You will select your anticipated pace per mile when you register. Starting placement is based on your anticipated pace per mile and start group capacities.

  • For starting placement, anticipated pace per mile must be selected by the participant for each individual race. If someone else registered you, your anticipated pace per mile must be selected by the person who registered you.
  • You may change your anticipated pace per mile until the deadline of August 1, 2024. No changes will be made after August 1, 2024.
  • If a start group reaches capacity, you will be placed in the next available start group.
  • Anticipated pace per mile selections must be made within your participant account and cannot be accepted via email. If someone else registered you, your anticipated pace per mile selection must be made to your registration within the account for the person who registered you and cannot be accepted via email.

Proof of Time Guidelines

If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in 2 hours and 30 minutes (2:30) or less, proof of time is required for start group placement. If you believe you will finish the Half Marathon in over 2 hours and 30 minutes (2:30), proof of time is not required. Start group placement is based on your anticipated finish time and start group capacities. Proof of time is not required for the 5K and 10K races.

Please note that if you submit a proof of time from an alternate race distance, an industry standard calculation will be applied to equate your finish time.

  • Proof of time must be provided from an officially timed race on a USATF certified course reflecting results between January 1, 2022, and August 1, 2024, and must be one of the below listed distances.
  • Runners will be placed in the last start group if appropriate race distance is not submitted for proof of time or if the data provided is incomplete or cannot be verified.

Half Marathon Proof of Time: Results for a 10K, 10-Mile, Half Marathon or Marathon

Please note: We cannot accept relays, trail runs, self-timed, training or Virtual Runs as proof of time.

When you register, a valid proof of time must include all of the following:

  • Name of Race
  • Distance
  • City

Double the Adventure

Sign up for an event that’s two times the fun with three times the medals––the 2025 Dumbo Double Dare! Hosted by the precious pachyderm, Dumbo, this 19.3-mile challenge dares you to complete both the Disneyland 10K and the Disneyland Half Marathon on pace, earning a special medal when you do.

Complete both the Disneyland 10K and Disneyland Half Marathon races on pace and earn:

  • Disneyland 10K medal
  • Disneyland Half Marathon medal
  • Dumbo Double Dare medal

That’s a grand total of 3 medals in one weekend! You’ll need to register for the Dumbo Double Dare––which includes both races––to be eligible for the challenge medal.

Adventure is Out ThereKids ages 9 and younger can enjoy some doggone, good fun during our runDisney Kids Races hosted by Dug from Disney and Pixar’s UP. Kids Races will be broken down into the following age groups:

  • Ages 0-1
  • Ages 1-3
  • Ages 4-6
  • Ages 7-9

General Registration opens June 18, 2024 at 7:00 AM PT | 10:00 AM ET$40

Price includes a 6.6% platform service fee.

Important Information

Parents are allowed to run with their children, but only registered children will receive a finisher medallion. Dates, times and prices are subject to change. Some Kids Races event categories may fill up before others. All races are subject to capacity limits and may close at any time before the website can be updated. Registrations are non-refundable and non-transferable. Disney reserves the right to refuse the entry into, and/or revoke any registration for, any race for any reason in its sole discretion with refund of any applicable registration fees being the sole remedy of any such refusal and/or revocation.

The participant’s parent or guardian must attend the runDisney Health & Fitness Expo prior to the race to receive their race bib and participant shirt. Finisher medallions will be distributed to finishers at the conclusion of the race. None of these items will be mailed to registrants.

Prior to participating in any exercise program or activity, you should seek the advice of your physician or other qualified health care professional. It is your responsibility to immediately stop any activity or exercise if you feel discomfort or pain and seek medical assistance as appropriate.

Hosted by Baymax from Disney Animation’s Big Hero 6, come stretch out at Sleeping Beauty Castle in Disneyland Park to kick off your race weekend with some rejuvenating Disneyland Yoga.

Event Details

  • Must be 10 years of age or older to participate. Children under age 14 must be accompanied by a Guest 14 years of age or older to participate.
  • Guests must exit the park at the end of the event. A valid park ticket and reservation is required for re-entry.
  • Yoga location is subject to change. Actual location within the activity area is on a first-come, first-served basis.
  • Each Guest will need to purchase a registration for entry to the designated area. Pricing is per person and subject to availability and capacity limits and can close at any time.
