Former Walt Disney Imagineer Joe Rohde is returning to Walt Disney Imagineering. In a post on Instagram, Walt Disney Imagineering announced that the recently announced Disney Legend will be returning to where he worked for about four decades to teach master class work sessions to current Imagineers. The following was posted by Walt Disney Imagineering:
Beginning this week, Imagineers have an opportunity to participate in a series of master class work sessions led by Joe Rohde. Following in the footsteps of many former Imagineers, Joe continues to mentor and share his years of storytelling knowledge with current Imagineers, contributing to the future of creativity at Walt Disney Imagineering.
Joe Rohde is a creative force who left his mark on Walt Disney Imagineering for over 30 years. He’s most recognized for leading the design and development of Disney’s Animal Kingdom, bringing the world of animals and conservation to life. His fingerprints are also on Aulani, a Disney resort in Hawaii, and the recent expansion of Animal Kingdom, Pandora – The World of Avatar.
Fans were recently excited when Joe Rohde posted a video of him apparently walking into Walt Disney Imagineering with the caption, “Do a bit of work at the old farm.” Many hoped that this meant he was returning as an Imagineer. This would seem to indicate the work that he was referring to was teaching.
