New Year’s Eve at Disneyland Resort is one of THE places to be. The park comes to life with a festive spirit as guests couple the magic of Disney with the magic of the new year. Many people make it an annual tradition to make the trek down to The Happiest Place on Earth! to ring in the New Year. Some of these guests will rope drop at Disneyland and immediately make their way to Sleeping Beauty Castle to get a spot for the day (and night) so that they can be in front of this iconic castle when the clock strikes twelve midnight.
The Disneyland Resort has confirmed that once again it will be presenting New Year’s Eve Fantasy in the Sky Fireworks Spectacular above the skies of Disneyland for New Year’s Eve. This fireworks presentation will be offered twice on New Year’s Eve. It will be offered when the the East Coast rings in the New Year at 9:00 PST and then again at midnight when the West Coast catches up.
Two years ago, a friend of Daps Magic sent in the following video of the fireworks at midnight at Disneyland.
Seeing the Fantasy in the Sky fireworks spectacular for New Year’s is a tradition that has continued for many years for many guests. For others, it is a new way to celebrate the coming of the new year. Anyone who has never celebrated the New Year at Disneyland really should do it at least once. It is an incredible experience. Often cardboard hats are passed out, DJs are found throughout the Disneyland Resort, and Disney characters show up to join the celebration.
At this time, the Disneyland Resort Entertainment Guide is showing the World of Color – Season of Light will be presented in Disney California Adventure at 7:00 PM and 8:15 PM. In previous years, there has been a special midnight show moment in the space. DJs are also often found in different locations at Disney California Adventure as well. Daps Magic will continue to monitor the Entertainment Guide and provide updates as they become available.
